Growing up, I cannot remember a time when I did not see a child working as a domestic servant or as a worker in some tea stall or in a mechanic shop. I cannot imagine how hard it is for these children because when I look back in time childhood is one of the most important period of time in my life. This is a time when you have no tension, no need to worry about anything you can just enjoy your life and do whatever you want to do without any hesitation and worry. you just live a simple life. Child labour is not new to Pakistan. It has been amongst us for a very long time. Yet, strangely, the uproar can only be heard when the media takes it up

According to the report of “DUNYA NEWS ” more than 40 % of Pakistani children are involved in child labour. Over 12.5 million children in Pakistan are involved in child labour, according to a statement issued by the Child Rights Movement (CRM) National Secretariat.

According to reports, there are at least 8.52 million home-based workers in the country, and the number of child laborers up to the age of 10 years is around 6 million. This number rapidly increases. Not only the child labour in our country is an issue but also violence in child labour also one of the major issue. On a daily bases, we can see how child- servants are badly tortured by owers. This girl name “Tayyaba” tortured by a judge and his wife. If our law authorities doing such acts how can we image justice for these poor children?.

Not only in homes we can see these children working on some food stalls, some mechanics shops and even collecting garbage. At this age, they should be going to school, gaining knowledge, saw the dreams with an open eye and enjoy the pleasures of life but instead, they have to work hard for their families , for food or even for shelter.

There are money laws against child labour , money times bills accepted in the assemblies against child labour but in practice, nothing is implemented.

Also, this is not true that the government or other NGOs do nothing about this situation, there are some sectors in government and also many NGOs taking seriously this issue and try to find some solutions and try to provide these kids a better future and better education but there are some problems.

1-Some of them have a heavy burden of taking care of their family

2-some is the only hope for their family

3-Some children do not want to study

4-some just want to earn money

5-It also seems that even some people offer them that they go to school and get proper education and we give your tuition fees and give you money that you earn from labouring but they simply refuse.

Ways to reduce child Labour:

1- Firstly we government should pass proper bills and implement them.

2 -Try to convince Childers' parents.

3-Encourage children to gaining an education

4-Government and NGOs should do there work properly

5- If complete reduction of child labor is not applicable then there should be a list of easy and burden less work for children especially.

What if we do not stop this :

1-Illiteracy increases.

2- Country future is at risk.

3-Less educated people.

4-bad country image.

5-Live meaningless lives.

6- Effects on mental health

To Conclude we can simply say that Pakistan is suffering from a variety of problems and child labouring is one of them we need to deal with this problem as well. Need to provide education to everyone by getting education one gets a chance to improve oneself. Through education, we can bring change in them, and as some of the child labour use citrates and some other drugs, and few of them also choose the wrong path when they grow up.so we need to try our best to provide them the best we can.
